The world's largest tropical national park lies in northern Brazil, over the great Amazon rainforest. The park is called Tumucumaque which means 'the rock on top of the mountain' in the native language.

<br>The park covers 9.6 million acres of forest-clad mountains which rise up to 2,300 feet above the forest canopy.

<br>The previous world's largest tropical park Slonga National Park in the Democratic republic of Congo. Tumucumaque park is 568,000 acres larger than Slonga National Park. Tumucumaque Mountains National Park is virtually an uninhabited region of virgin rainforest. It is full of waterfalls, whitewater rapids and rivers that are impassible to humans
