Omega 3 is polyunsaturated fatty acid which consist of both essential fatty acids EPA (Eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA ( Docosahexaenoic acid).

Clinical studies show that consumption of EPA benefits coronary heart diseases and blood circulation by maintaining the elasticity of arterial walls and promoting blood flow to avoid plaque formation in cardiovascular system. Besides that, it also reduces high blood pressure for those suffering from hypertension and helps in treating inflammatory rheumatoid arthritis significantly.

DHA, on the other hand, is not only beneficial for anti-inflammation but it also prevents excessive blood clotting and essential for proper development of the brain and visual ability. It is the primary structural component of brain tissues which promotes neurotransmission, increases intellectual capacity and mental functioning of the brain. Therefore, DHA is the most needed nutrition during pregnancy and breast-feeding period because it promotes the optimal development of the brain, nerves and eyes of the fetus. |

| Omega 3 is "essential" fatty acid because our body cannot manufacture them, yet must obtain them from food. it can be obtained from plants such as flaxseed and micro-algae, however the best omega 3 is obtained from deep sea, cold-water fish like Salmon, Sardine and Mackerel |
