Whats the difference b/w GSM and CDMA?

These are 2 different standards used for the mobile communication. In GSM, the multiple access used is TDMA( Time division multiple access) and in CDMA the multiple access is Code division multiple access(CDMA).

in Gsm is global system for telecommication.this is the most popular mobile technology.here we r using the combnation of FDMA and TDMA.that means the full frquency band is divided to frquency channels(200khz each).then each 200khz again decided in to time slots(8 each).traffic(voice) is going through these timeslots

<br>but CDMA is code divsion multiple acess.that means fulband can use by each subscriber.but each user has its own code.so in simply CDMA each user is using the ful frquency band with different codes.these codes r known as WAlsh code.there 64 combination of codes.these codes r randomly generated in each base station base station.

<br>we can point out lot of differences bwn CDMA and GSM.but these is the standard and simple answer.
