Is it true the phrase 'at the point OF time' is British and 'at the point IN time' is American? 
One of my friend said that the Americans use the phrase 'at the point in time' and English use 'at the point of time' (Note the word IN and OF). Is it true.

I dont think it is true.I accept that americans take english for granted.But,both of these phrases have hell lot of difference
