Google spider is the main part of google indexing.Google uses a algorithm called BACKBURNER for its searching.For this,It uses a software or algorithm or program called google spider.This spider daily goes around the web randomly and collects all the information,it can collect.Yes it is harmful .it is harmful because it even indexes passwords sometimes.if the server containing the Website is not protected,It may even index the URL of downloads without any payement of money
